On November 16, 2017, in the premises of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, was officially presented the online platform Diasporainvest.ba, realized by USAID’s Project “Supporting Diaspora Investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The Platform envisions a series of activities for linking and supporting the creation of new business opportunities for cooperation with the BiH Diaspora with the homeland.
USAID’s Mission Director for Bosnia and Herzegovina Peter Duffy at the opening of the presentation said: “Today we are launching an online business platform for the BiH Diaspora. USAID remains dedicated to assisting BiH in developing the private sector, which will be more competitive in the region and wil create new jobs. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s diaspora has great potential for attracting investments and establishing new trade links, and we hope that Diasporainvest.ba will help us utilize this potential, increase the visibility of Bosnia and Herzegovina and ensure new business connections. At the presentation of Diasporainvest.ba a number of entrepreneurs, investors, partner organizations, as well as representatives of governmental institutions and agencies working on co-operation programs with BiH diaspora, have been gathered.
