Our member institution South East European University with Merita Zulfiu as representative, participated in project titled „Inclusion of Roma and Migrants in Schools: Trainings, Open Discussions and Youth Volunteering Activities (RoMigSc)”.
The main aim of this project is to support better integration of Roma and migrant children in education through various activities. Education is crucial for successful integration. Although diversity is an opportunity to make schools more inclusive, creative and open-minded, inequality in education is the highest among Roma and migrant children. Migrant and Roma often face discrimination and xenophobia.
The last (7th) partners meeting was held in Slovenia 10-11 October 2019, together with the final conference. The partners discussed the findings of the project activities and the recommendations from the projects implemented in schools at the local, national or international level.
With the final international conference titled “Inclusion of Roma and Migrants in Schools: Training, Open Discussions and Youth Volunteering Activities” most of the activities of the RoMigSc project have been successfully concluded. In the conference, nearly 100 participants participated in various activities – excursions, panels, paper and poster presentations, etc.
RoMigSc project brought E-platform as one of the results. E-platform is a multilanguage site supporting learning and transfer of information about multicultural societies and intercultural education with an emphasis on activation of young people primarily through volunteering. If you are interested to benefit from this platform click here.
