Our Research Director, Nermin Oruc, received TUBITAK’s Visiting Scientist Fellowship grant for visiting Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir. Dokuz Eylul University (DEU), with its 15 faculties and more than 70,000 students enrolled, is renowned for its distinguished faculty and cutting-edge research facilities and has solidified its position as one of the leading research universities in Turkiye.
Over the past two weeks in January 2024, Nermin engaged in fruitful discussions with the management of the University and of Faculty of Economics, exploring potential collaborations between DEU and CREDI. During his stay, Nermin delivered several engaging lectures for DEU’s staff and students, sparking inspiration and paving the way for research partnerships between the two institutions. Excitingly, agreements on research collaboration, joint events, and other areas of cooperation have been reached.
As already agreed, Nermin will be heading back to DEU in April to build upon the progress made and take the collaboration to new heights. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new collaboration!
