Our director Nermin Oruc participated at the 3rd conference of the German Network of Forced Migration Researchers organized on 17-19 September 2020. The conference took place on-line and was organized by the Chair of Youth Welfare and Social Work at the University of Cologne with the executive board of the German Network of Forced Migration Researchers and the BMBF-funded joint project “Forced Migration and Refugee Studies: Networking and Knowledge Transfer” (FFVT).
Nermin participated in a panel titled “(How) Does class matter in reintegration processes of refugees and migrants? ”, where he presented a paper on Roma emigration and their return and (re)integration in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which added a policy perspective on low-class affiliates’ livelihoods and discusses options for reintegration assistance that can be provided by governmental and non-governmental organizations and through policy frameworks.
