Following a short break, our InQuire Migration Research Laboratory recently organized a highly informative session on the utilization of secondary data in migration research. The session was held on June 6th, 2024, starting at 15:00 CET.
Dr. Dimitra Kondyli, Research Director of the National Centre for Social Research (EKKE) and Amela Kurta, Coordinator of the Data Archive for Social Sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina (DASS-BiH), jointly led the session.
During the session, participants gained valuable insights into the extensive resources available within the CESSDA Data Catalogue. Dr. Kondyli and Ms. Kurta provided examples of datasets from migration research accessible through the SoDaNet and DASS-BiH catalogues. Additionally, attendees learned about the HummingBird project and received guidance from the CESSDA Expert Guide, enhancing their understanding of available tools and resources for migration research.
The event was part of our ongoing InQuire Migration Research Laboratory program, which involves participants from the Western Balkans and Türkiye. We are grateful for the support of the regional WB-MIGNET network in making this session possible.
