Our coordinator and director of the Centre for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research (CREDI) Nermin Oruc participated at the workshop titled ‘Migration in the Western Balkans’. The workshop was organized by the EC DG NEAR and ICMPD, and was held on 24 – 25 January at the Metropol Hotel, Belgrade.
The workshop enabled participants to share experiences in the aftermath of the ‘migration crisis’ in the EU and the Western Balkans and to gain a common understanding of the EU’s migration policy framework, focusing on how the Western Balkans fit in the overall evolving EU policy.
Nermin, with other co-authors, presented the report “Maximizing the development impact of labour migration in the Western Balkans”, which was prepared for the European Commission.
